Introduction

"To Guard" — The Many Layers of Rakṣā

॥ ॐ ॥
Hanumān bowed at the feet of Rāma
Hanumān — protector through devotion and surrender

In Sanatan Dharma, Rakṣā is far more than personal safety. It is the divine guarding of the body, mind, family, dharma and the soul itself. The word comes from rakṣ — "to protect, to guard, to preserve."

True protection arises from faith, devotion and dharmic living. Mantras, kavachas and deities are the visible instruments — but the heart of protection is surrender. The Divine guards those who walk in truth.
